Terms and Conditions

The Loft is committed to providing the highest level of dance and yoga tuition in a welcoming and inclusive environment. All students and teachers have the right to a safe and enjoyable experience that maintains positive relationships between all members of our community. It is the responsibility of both students and teachers to behave with care and tolerance of others.

COVID-19 POLICY

Please do not attend the studio if you are feeling unwell or have Covid symptoms. Please maintain social distancing whilst at the studio. Although students and teachers are no longer required to wear masks while dancing, you are welcome to continue to do so.

Class sizes are limited to 16, as well as an updated cleaning and sanitizing schedule. In the event of future government restrictions where we are required to close the studio, all enrolments will be transferred to online zoom lessons OR suspended until we can safely re-open. This will be at the discretion of the studio. Any term fees paid will not be refunded. However, all classes will be honoured, either in person or online.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Classes are non-refundable. Once booked, you must give at least 7 days’ notice before the start of term if you wish to cancel. If you have booked thru the online portal, this is considered a booking. No-shows and cancellations after this date will incur a $40 cancellation fee.

LATE PAYMENTS

A $20 late fee will apply to all overdue accounts.

MAKE-UP CLASSES

If you are absent or ill, 1-2 make-up classes per term are available to each student only. Classes are NOT interchangeable. Please email the studio director to arrange your make-up class.

PHOTOGRAPH/VIDEO

From time to time, we will photograph classes for social media purposes. Please let us know if you do not wish to have your image taken.

PERSONAL ITEMS

Participants are responsible for their personal items and safety. Please check the lost property box if you have left any items in the studio.

SAFE DANCE POLICY

We respect that our students know their bodies the best and encourage you to go at your own pace and fitness. Our qualified teaching team will offer safe dance and movement instructions but will also empower you to make choices for yourself during each lesson. We cannot take responsibility for injuries incurred but will, of course, attend to them with appropriate first aid in the unlikely event of an injury. Feel free to modify your practice on any given day, depending on your personal circumstances. If you have an existing injury or you are pregnant, please let the teacher know in advance.  Make sure you are adequately warmed up. Listen to your body. Bring a water bottle. Have fun!
