Terms & Conditions

Enrolment is subject to studio terms and conditions, please be sure to read information below:

DANCESAFE COVID-19 POLICY – please do not attend the studio if you are feeling unwell or have Covid symptoms. Please maintain social distancing whilst at the studio. Although students and teachers are no longer required to wear masks while dancing, you are welcome to continue to do so.

Class sizes are limited to 16 to ensure our Covid Safe obligations, as well as an updated cleaning and sanitizing schedule. In the event of future government restrictions where we are required to close the studio, all enrolments will be transferred to online zoom lessons OR suspended until we can safely re-open. This will be at the discretion of the studio. Any term fees paid will not be refunded, however all classes will be honored – either in person or online.

CANCELLATION POLICY – Once booked, you must give at least 7 days’ notice before the start of term if you wish to cancel. If you have booked for our online portal, this is considered a booking. No shows and cancellations after this date will incur a $40 cancellation fee.

LATE PAYMENTS – A $20 late fee will apply to all overdue accounts.

Classes are NON REFUNDABLE.

CLASS SIZES are capped at 16 to ensure quality of teaching and compliance with government restrictions.

MAKE UP CLASSES – If you are absent or ill, ONE make up class per term is available to each student only. Classes are NOT interchangeable. Please email the studio director to arrange your make up class.

From time to time, we will PHOTOGRAPH/VIDEO classes for social media purposes. Please let us know if you DO NOT wish to have your image taken.

Participants are responsible for their PERSONAL ITEMS and SAFETY. Please check the lost property box if you have left any items in the studio.

The studio does not take responsibility for injuries which occur during classes. However, classes are staffed by experienced and qualified teachers who maintain safe dance and movement practices at all times. Any injuries will be attended to with appropriate first aid administered in the unlikely event of an injury.

Safe Dance

We respect that our students know their bodies the best and encourage you to go at your own pace and fitness. Our teaching team will offer instructions but will also empower you to make choices for yourself during each lesson. Feel free to modify your practice on any given day, depending on your personal circumstances. If you have an existing injury or you are pregnant, please let the teacher know in advance. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early to your lesson so you are not rushed. Make sure you are adequately warmed up. Listen to your body. Bring a water bottle. Have fun!

Clothing/Footwear – what do I wear?

Please wear clothing you are most comfortable in. Layers help keep the body warm and it’s a good idea to wear close fitting attire to ensure the teacher can see correct alignment – leggings, tights, tank tops are all good.

No large jewellery for safety please.

Bring ballet shoes for ballet if you have them, but socks are also fine for the first couple of weeks. Bare feet or ‘foot undeez’ for contemporary; bare feet for barre, stretch, yoga and pilates. Ballet slippers and pointe shoes etc. can be purchased at Geelong Dance Supplies.

Please wear jazz shoes and/or sneakers for Jazz and Hip Hop
